Concrete pools, usually better known as gunite or shotcrete have a finish applied to the inside of the concrete pool shell to waterproof it.
in the older days plaster was the typical material used to seal the concrete. Plaster is simply white portland cement and finely ground marble.
Today owners of concrete pools have a wide selection of finishes available for their pool.
